Glen Oaks establishes Presidential Search Committee for new president; David Devier will retire at end of June, 2024

The Glen Oaks Board of Trustees has announced the formation of a Presidential Search Committee to select a new college president. Dr. David Devier had announced earlier that he would be retiring effective June 30, 2024, after serving as the college president since January 2014.

During last month’s meeting, the board approved moving forward with using the Association of Community College Trustees as the presidential search firm as recommended by the Presidential Search Steering Committee of GOCC Board Trustees Bruce Gosling, Kim Bontrager and Joe Haas.

The Steering Committee sought and vetted nominations from a variety of constituents, including the Glen Oaks faculty and staff, the Glen Oaks Foundation, students, and representatives from the community, and brought forth its selection which was approved at this morning’s board meeting.

Board Trustee Joseph Haas will serve as chair.
